ADULT COMPETITION
The Adult Competition is a sub-divison of the SoCo Entrepreneurship Competition. Individuals from all over the state compete to pitch their business plans to a panel of actual venture capitalists that could potentially fund their product, project, or business venture. The intent of the competition is to encourage entrepreneurial thinking and action in the community.

What is the SoCo Entrepreneurship Competition?
The SoCo Entrepreneurship Competition is a competition that is extremely competitive as individuals or teams compete to pitch their business plan to be incorporated within the community. The entire competition is split into two divisions. There is the Student Business Plan Competition and the Adult Venture Capitalist Competition. The competitions are both evaluated by a panel of judges who select finalists to take home either a scholarship to CSU-Pueblo and/or venture 'capital' seed money or loans that may be redeemable when the entrepreneur opens their business.
How do I register?

Is the competition free?
Due to the competitive nature of the competition and volume of entries, there is a small fee that accompanies registration This fee is $10 for entry into the competition and to process your application.
What is the eligibility requirements for the Adult Competition?
Be 18 years of age on or before the deadline of the business plans. Creation of a plan to open business or expand an existing business that has operated for less than three years is required. Participants must follow "Rules of Submission" and submit business plan entries via electronic dropbox by deadline. Each participant may only submit one (1) business plan in the competition. Each business plan submitted may list up to three partners, but any and all prizes will be awarded to only the first author listed. All work submitted must be the original work of the participant(s).
What are the deadlines?
Deadlines for Business Plan submissions - March 1st, 2017.
Competition Day for Students - April 14th, 2017.
Competition Day for Adults - April 15th, 2017.
